Now, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has developed a patented, high-performance polyurethane seal for a customer that has a specific geometry that not only accommodates different valve dimensions on the various gas cartridges, but also offers high impermeability under long-lasting pressure.

Cooper Standard announced the appointment of MaryAnn Peterson Kanary to senior vice president, chief legal officer and secretary effective August 7, 2023. Based at Cooper Standard’s headquarters in Northville, Mich., Kanary will lead the legal and compliance functions for the Company and report directly to Jeffrey Edwards, chairman and CEO, Cooper Standard. She replaces Joanna Totsky who recently left the Company.

Based in Mannheim, Germany, Cooper Standard Technical Rubber (CSTR) offers versatile sheeting, compounding and flooring solutions. The sale was finalized on July 31, 2023. Terms of the sale were not disclosed

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it is supplying its ADVAN V61 tires as original equipment (OE) to Mazda Motor Corporation for use on the automaker’s new crossover SUVs, the MAZDA CX-90, sales of which will be launched in Australia and other markets. The tire size being supplied is 265/55R19 109V. The MAZDA CX-90 SUVs launched in the U.S. market are being equipped with the GEOLANDAR X-CV tires for high-performance crossover SUVs

Smithers announces that Mohit Nitin Shenvi and Eric Pierce, Principal Engineer, have published a paper titled “Correlating tire traction performance on snow with measured parameters of ASTM F1805 using regression analysis.” The paper has been published in Cold Regions Science and Technology, an international journal dealing with the science and technical problems of cold environments. Dr. Corina Sandu and Dr. Costin Untaroiu were also co-authors on the paper.
