Ben Nosse recently joined Sovereign Chemical as Business Development Manager. Since 1974, Sovereign is a leading global supplier of chemicals to the tire and rubber industry.  Ben joins Sovereign Chemical from HEXPOL Compounding where he served as business development manager.

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM (ET) RDAbbott will host a free webinar titled “LSR Solutions for Compatibility with Fire Resistant Plastics” about new and innovative materials from Dow lead by Dr. Jessica Ding and Dr. Noel Chang.

The joint venture was formed by Enviro and Antin Infrastructure Partners to establish the world’s first large-scale tire recycling company based on Enviro’s technology. As previously announced, the joint venture is planning to establish plants across Europe by 2030 with a total recycling capacity of one million tons of end-of-life tires per year.

Harwick President and CEO Ernie Pouttu says Buchanan՚s new title reflects the key areas she handles for Harwick, and the support she provides for these most important aspects of the business.
Helen Potirakis is now a Senior Product Manager for Harwick, handling key suppliers to the company, and taking on additional suppliers.
Pouttu expressed his appreciation to Andreana Gonzalez for her “willingness and enthusiasm on taking on some supplier responsibilities.” Pouttu additionally thanked Cris Welch, Bryan Shields, Mike McCarty and Chuck Bonawitz for their increased roles with the Harwick supplier base.

Dow and New Energy Blue announced a long-term supply agreement in North America in which New Energy Blue will create bio-based ethylene from renewable agricultural residues. Dow expects to purchase this bio-based ethylene, reducing carbon emissions from plastic production, and using it in recyclable applications across transportation, footwear, and packaging.

Continental has sold its plant in Kaluga, Russia, to Russian company S8 Capital. With this step, Continental has divested the majority of its activities in Russia as part of its announced controlled withdrawal from the Russian market – a decision taken by the technology company in response to the war against Ukraine. The transaction has been approved by the relevant authorities.
