IPS Adhesives (IPSA) has acquired a range of adhesives based on acrylate and methyl methacrylate (MMA) technology from L&L Products. This acquisition complements IPS Adhesives’ specialist MMA-based product offering and provides a platform that enhances its ability to deliver innovative solutions that facilitate lightweighting and the bonding of dissimilar materials.

MMA-based adhesives cure quickly at room temperature, enabling rapid bonding and reducing production times. They are high-strength, versatile, and in demand for transportation, construction, automotive, marine, and various other industrial applications that have critical technical specifications and benefit from more versatile alternatives to mechanical fasteners, welding, and other traditional bonding solutions. IPS Adhesives has been a pioneer and advocate of MMA technology.

The Company’s net revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2024 was $918 million, up 1.9% versus the third quarter of fiscal 2023. Rubber exports reached about 209,726 tons last month, according to data from the General Department of Customs, worth nearly $345 million, up 12.7 per cent in volume and 12 per cent in value, compared to the previous month.

The average export price of rubber is at $1,637 per ton, down about 1.1 per cent month-on-month, but up about 26.8 per cent year-on-year.

he Indian Rubber Gloves Manufacturers Association (IRGMA) accepts new guidelines detailing the functions and responsibilities of the Zonal, Sub-zonal, and Port offices of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). The association urged the government to take stringent measures to implement the order effectively to stop the import of substandard gloves in the country.
CDSCO issued the new Guidance Document for Functions and Responsibilities of Zonal, Sub-zonal, and Port offices on September 12. The guidelines were last released in 2011, and the recent changes—including the introduction of new rules and regulations and the online system through the SUGAM portal—necessitated the revised order in line with the procedures followed in CDSCO offices.
