Silcotech expands capacity with two new Arburg injection molding machines

Silcotech North America has announced it is expanding capacity with the purchase of two new injection molding machine workcells. The two new Arburg machines include a 110 US ton ALLROUNDER 470 A 1000 – 290 Comfort, and a 220 US ton ALLROUNDER 570 A 2000 – 400 Comfort. Both are all-electric machines specified with LIM/LSR molding options as well as thermoplastic molding capabilities.

Elkem, one of the world’s leading suppliers of silicon-based advanced materials, has been rated by CDP among the world’s top performing companies in environmental transparency and performance on climate (A- rating), forests (A) and water (A-). Only 30 companies globally scored on a similarly high level as Elkem in the category on forests.
CDP – the global environmental disclosure nonprofit – has scored over 21,000 companies based on information reported through its climate change, deforestation and water security questionnaires. Yokohama tire promotes Stan Chandgie to Chief Operating Officer

Yokohama Tire Corporation announced that EVP of Sales & Support Stan Chandgie has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective April 1, 2024.

Sumitomo Rubber names Carlos Arguello as national sales manager

Sumitomo Rubber North America, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., announced that Carlos Arguello has been named National Sales Manager (East) for Commercial Truck tires.

Arguello has been with SRNA for over 15 years, working in corporate retail, regional and national wholesale, and international sales in the Caribbean and Mexico. Most recently, Arguello worked as a Strategic Account Manager. Prior to joining SRNA, Arguello earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Florida International University.
