LyondellBasell announced its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $1.34 per share, representing a 7 percent increase over the company’s first quarter 2024 dividend. The dividend will be paid to shareholders on June 10, 2024, with an ex-dividend and record date of June 3, 2024.

LANXESS Corporation announces an agreement with its utility provider, Entergy Arkansas, to significantly reduce emissions related to powering the company’s sites in Arkansas.

The new agreement reduces LANXESS’ Scope 2 emissions – external energy sources – by utilizing a combination of clean and renewable energy produced in Arkansas. The company’s three facilities in El Dorado are expected to see an 82% reduction in indirect greenhouse gas emissions associated with the purchase of energy, or Scope 2 emissions, while it’s anticipated that the Little Rock facility will achieve a full 100% reduction

Michelin (co-shareholder of Symbio) provides next generation low-rolling resistance tires that combine safety, longevity and improved fuel efficiency, thus enhancing the total cost of ownership of the vehicle. The aim of this demonstration is to test the low-rolling resistance tires on a zero-emission truck. These tires are designed to handle higher torque loads under acceleration, which are different from those of internal combustion engine trucks. It is expected that the data collected will help determine the improvements needed to develop a tire applicable for the needs of hydrogen trucks.

DuPont received the award in the “Social Responsibility and Community Engagement” category for its Clear into the Future® (CITF) grant program. The employee-led global program was created to drive positive environmental impact in DuPont communities. The CITF program is held annually, with awards going to nonprofits and educational institutions for projects that impact one or more of the following areas: climate change adaptation and mitigation, water stewardship, circular economy, and biodiversity protection. In 2023, the company awarded nonprofit grants for 19 projects in seven countries across four regions. The CITF program is integral in the company’s efforts to achieve its Building Thriving Communities 2030 Sustainability Goal.

A founding member of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR), Yokohama Rubber revised its “Procurement Policy for Sustainable Natural Rubber” in September 2021 and is strengthening its collaboration with GPSNR activities. The introduction of RubberWay® Geo-Mapping reflects the principle of “improve traceability” and “environmental initiatives” set forth in the Procurement Policy. Yokohama Rubber will continue to implement and announce initiatives in line with the action guidelines stipulated in this policy.
