Birla Carbon will participate in the K Show 2022, to be held from October 19 – 26, 2022, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Birla Carbon will showcase its range of sustainable carbon-based solutions for the plastics industry at Hall 8A Booth H33.

Dow will be sharing industry insights, expertise, and a wide range of applications at the International Elastomers Conference (IEC) on October 10-13 in Knoxville, Tenn. Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics business and Dow’s Consumer Solutions business will host several technical presentations, as well as an exhibit on the show floor in booth #727.

Holcim Building Envelope completed the next step in its brand journey as it transitions from the Firestone Building Products name to fully integrate into Holcim Group as part of its Solutions & Products Business Unit. For marketing and branding purposes the division will be known as Holcim Building Envelope, a new center of excellence for breakthrough roofing, wall, lining and waterproofing solutions for commercial and residential customers around the world. As of October 3, 2022, for all uses that refer to a legal entity in the U.S. only, such as warranties, copyrights, and other legal and operation documents, Holcim has officially transitioned from Firestone Building Products Company, LLC to Holcim Solutions and Products US, LLC.

Yokohama Rubber began supplying karting tires for use in Japan and overseas in 2001. The Company has provided tires for karting races certified by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF)-including the All Japan Karting Championship, the country’s premier kart racing series—and races certified by the International Automobile Federation’s International Karting Commission (CIK-FIA). YOKOHAMA karting tires also include tires for hobby, rental, and indoor karts. For more than 20 years, the Company has supported races and driver in Japan and overseas with a wide range of karting tires.

At the K show 2022, ENGEL is joining forces with partner NEXUS Elastomer Systems to provide new impetus to the production of blade valves made of liquid silicone rubber (LSR). The fully automated high-end production cell combines maximum output with maximum quality consistency, substantially improving cost effectiveness at the same time.

AISEMO is presenting a non-invasive and manufacturer-independent complete solution for improved performance in injection molding that is based on artificial intelligence at K2022. “AISEMO Analytics” does not require any intervention in machine controllers or IT networks and is ready for use on any injection molding machine in less than half an hour. This allows production data to be called up in real time on all browser-based devices.
Data is collected independently with the aid of a Bluetooth sensor. Self-learning algorithms process this data and detect production irregularities, delays and downtimes in real time. As a result, rejects and downtimes can be quickly minimized.

The construction permit application pertains to the previously announced recycling plant that the company plans to establish on an industrial site in the Lillesjö district of Uddevalla Municipality. The application follows the environmental permit for the planned facility, which was granted to Enviro in June of this year, and which was also previously announced by the company. The facility will have the capacity to process up to 60,000 tons of end-of-life tires per year, which would suffice for the recycling of half of Sweden’s total annual volume of end-of-life tires.

Guill Tool & Engineering introduces a new single-point concentricity extrusion crosshead that uses micro-fine adjustment screws for precise concentricity adjustment. The precision of concentricity reaches 0.008” or finer per revolution. This single point concentricity adjustment is a unique Guill innovation for the extrusion of thin-walled jacketing and precision ID/OD tubing. One adjustment bolt controls 360° of adjustment.
