Helsinki district court dismisses all charges against Nokian Tyre for alleged delayed stock exchange release

Prosecutors in Finland pressed charges in the fall 2020 for a disclosure offence against Hille Korhonen, Raimo Lind, Inka Mero, Hannu Penttilä and Petteri Walldén, who acted as members of Nokian Tyres plc’s Board of Directors in 2015–2016 and against Ari Lehtoranta, who acted as President & CEO at the same time. The charges related to a stock exchange release given by the company on 29 February 2016, which was allegedly delayed. The prosecutor claimed a corporate fine against Nokian Tyres.

Top Glove reports lower profits in third quarter

– Top Glove Corporation Bhd expects the average selling price (ASP) for rubber gloves would drop below the 2019 pre-pandemic
level, depending on the supply and demand conditions, executive chairman Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai said to reporters during their third quarter report.
He said ASP, especially for nitrile gloves, has dropped significantly and affected the company’s margin, which is almost bottoming down.
He said in the last six months, the supply of rubber gloves had reduced mainly due to a halt in production by industry players by more than 50 per cent while demand remained elevated especially for medical usage as well as non-medical industry.

Albemarle Corporation announced the release of its annual global sustainability report

Last year, Albemarle began executing its climate strategy and the company is on track to meet or exceed initial sustainability targets for GHG emissions and freshwater intensity. This year’s report includes 2021 actions such as the procurement of renewable energy in the U.S. and the Netherlands and construction completion of a $100 million thermal evaporator in Chile. Albemarle also engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to provide independent assurance of scope 1 and 2 GHG data.
