The next staging of T-PLAS, The International Trade Fair for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, has been moved to February 9-12, 2022, at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was originally scheduled for September 2021. As one of the region’s leading trade fairs for the plastics and rubber industries, T-PLAS will now be strategically held concurrently with several other exhibitions from the Messe Düsseldorf Asia portfolio, including Pack Print International, Medical Fair Thailand, Wire and Tube Southeast Asia and the inaugural editions of CorruTec Aia, GIFA and METEC Southeast Asia.

Zochem was represented at the virtual awards gala by Shahram Mehdian, Brampton plant manager. In accepting the award, Mehdian said, “This is a great achievement for Zochem, and recognition of the excellent work done by all of our employees who have made Zochem an industry leader in safety, quality and customer service. We are especially proud of the award, knowing that the four other category nominees have been industry leaders in their own fields for many decades.”

As NewAge Industries has grown, so too has its need for additional personnel. The day-to-day tasks of operating a successful, growing business have warranted new positions at the company, which manufactures plastic and rubber tubing used in industries such as medical device, food and beverage, chemical, industrial, biopharm and pharmaceutical. NewAge also manufactures molded single-use tubing assemblies for the production of vaccines, including those developed for COVID-19.

Acquisition of the Toolplas Mexico assets enables SyBridge to add a dedicated service center in the Queretaro area, where significant injection molding production is located. It also allows Concours’ existing production facility in Puebla, Mexico, to focus on mold design, manufacturing and validation. The addition of this Queretaro service center increases SyBridge’s customer service network to four dedicated service facilities in North America; it will complement other locations in Alabama, Tennessee and Ontario, Canada.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it is supplying its “ADVAN Sport V107” tires to BMW M GmbH as original equipment (OE) on the BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe, two new high-performance sports models launched globally by the German automaker. Yokohama Rubber began supplying the tires in November 2020, shipping 275/40ZR18 (103Y) size front tires and 285/35ZR19 (103Y) size rear tires. The two new models join the M5 as BMW M models using YOKOHAMA tires as original equipment.
