Eagle Elastomer now offers a new AFLAS® compound EE32375R 75 Durometer, White, Low Compression SetAFLAS® Fluoroelastomer Compound. EE32375R is ideal for Oil and Gas, Wire and Cable, Automotive, and Chemical Processing Industries (CPI). The (TFE/P) AFLAS® polymer gives this compound excellent base and amine resistance that is unmatched by any FKM type fluoroelastomer. Along with chemical resistance, this compound also has outstanding steam resistance. The fully cured compound offers resilient physical properties with low compression set.

Denka Company Limited announces a price revision for chloroprene rubber, which is offered under the brand name of “Denka Chloroprene” due to cost increase in production and current supply and demand balance. The price increase is more than USD500 or EUR450 per metric ton effective from January 4th, 2022.

The Omi Plant (Itoigawa, Niigata) of Denka Company Limited celebrated the 100th anniversary of its establishment in December this year.
The Omi Plant began manufacturing carbide in 1921, effectively using limestone from Mt. Kurohime, which is close to the plant, privately generated power, and other resources. The plant utilizes its unique “carbide-chain” to produce a wide range of products from inorganic chemicals, including calcium cyanamide fertilizers and special cement admixtures, to organic chemicals, including special synthetic rubbers and polymer hyaluronic acid preparations. It has been one of the main plants of Denka. In 2018, the Omi Innovation Hub, a new general office, was completed. The Omi Innovation Hub facilitates the integrated and efficient management of different divisions at the plant and functions as a hub for interactions with local communities. Also, the plant is developing an employee-friendly
environment.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it is now supplying its GEOLANDAR X-CV (Pattern No. G99B) as original equipment (OE) for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s new Outlander SUVs. Yokohama Rubber began supplying the GEOLANDAR X-CV tires used on Outlander gasoline models sold overseas in July 2021, and shipments of the tires for PHEV models to be introduced in Japan, Australia and other countries began in November this year. The SUVs are being fitted with 235/60R18 103H size tires.

Sumitomo Rubber North America will increase prices in the US, Canada and Caribbean on Falken, Ohtsu and Private Brand Passenger and Light Truck tires as well as implementing inline adjustments on a per size basis. The price increase of up to 8% will be effective January 1, 2022.
