Concordia Engineered Fibers names Sean Reymond as new CEO
Coventry, RI – Since 1920, Concordia has specialized in the design and development of technically engineered yarns, offering advanced twisting of carbon, glass, PTFE, UHMW and other hard to process fibers, as well as commingling, winding, and plying for production of a broad range of complex fabrics. Concordia has manufacturing facilities in the USA, France, and Mexico capable of large-scale technical yarn production where Sean will bring his expertise to the forefront.
Mr. Sean Reymond has over 25 years’ experience pioneering advancements within the composites industry. Starting at the National Research Council of Canada, Sean went on to complete a master’s degree in composite materials at the University of Montreal that focused on the pultrusion process. Since then, Sean has been integrated within the composites industry across the development of pultrusion, compression, and bladder molding processes for several companies.
After completing a master’s degree in business administration, Sean continued to push industry limits with the development of thin wall and curved profiles as well as structural profiles in thermoplastic resin. Within his prior role as Chief Technology Officer, Sean developed molding processes for long and continuous fiber thermoplastic composites and led teams to successful delivery of innovative products.
Sean is now applying his most recent experience from development of new business applications for specialty fiberglass yarns and rovings to the position of Chief Executive Officer at Concordia Engineered Fibers.
