Continental and Brabus develop tires in long-term cooperation
Hanover, Germany – Brabus exclusively equips two new supercars with the SportContact 7 from Continental. Not only the Brabus 930, but also the tuner’s most powerful supercar to date – the 1,000 hp Brabus ROCKET 1000 “1 of 25” – will be fitted from the factory with the high-performance tire, which optimally combines performance and safety. The tire is designed to meet the needs of sporty drivers.
The Brabus ROCKET 1000 “1 of 25” is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. The supercar sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. The V8 biturbo has a maximum torque of 1,820 Nm, which is electronically limited to 1,620 Nm to protect the transmission. This gives the supercar a top speed of up to an electronically limited 316 km/h. The SportContact 7 enables a perfect interplay of performance and safety with this power transmission to the wheels with tire sizes 275/35 ZR 21 on the front axle and 335/25 ZR 22 on the rear axle. They are mounted on the specially developed wheels in the new Brabus Monoblock P design with an indicated central locking.
The basis for the new Brabus 930 is the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and is electronically limited to a top speed of 290 km/h. The 22-inch Brabus Monoblock ZM “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels are used for the first time on this new super sports car. The refiner from Bottrop, Germany, fitted the SportContact 7 in size 265/35 ZR 22 at the front and 295/30 ZR 22 at the rear. This matches the new style of the high-tech wheels, which are manufactured using a complex forging and CNC machining process. They feature a concave center and a combination of a large, black-painted wheel design in the center and 20 filigree spokes with a polished finish.
The tire specialists at Continental and Brabus have been working closely together for over 25 years to ensure that the vehicle tuner’s products are safe and sporty on the road. The SportContact 7 has already proven its high quality through the approval of vehicle tuners and in the original equipment sector. The high-performance tire has also impressed in independent tests: in April 2024, the SportContact 7 was named the test winner for sporty driving by the German magazine Auto Bild sportscars and was rated “exemplary”.
