Denka launches D-NODE brand to promote circular economy for styrene materials
Tokyo, Japan – Denka Company Limited has announced the launch of its new brand, D-NODE™, aimed at promoting the recycling and remanufacturing of styrene materials to realize a circular economy. This initiative is part of Denka’s broader commitment to sustainability and resource circulation.
The D-NODE™ brand represents Denka’s unique resource circulation system, which integrates chemical and material recycling methods to enhance the sustainability of styrene materials. The system is designed to connect various stakeholders and expand the network of resource circulation, contributing to a sustainable and enriched daily life for people and society.
In March 2024, Denka began operating a polystyrene chemical recycling plant at its Chiba Plant in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture. This facility is a key component of Denka’s Styrene Chain, which encompasses an integrated manufacturing and sales system from raw materials to final products.
Denka’s efforts align with its “Mission 2030” management plan, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The company is focused on developing sustainable products that meet societal and customer needs while reducing environmental impact
The D-NODE™ brand name and logo symbolize Denka’s role as a central node in the multi-resource circulation of styrene materials. Through this initiative, Denka aims to foster collaboration and expand the network of resource circulation, ultimately contributing to a circular economy.
