Desma names Dr. Michael Zaun as CTO and COO

Stuttgart, Germany – Beginning on 01.09.2022, Dr. Michael Zaun, 51, will take up his position as CTO and COO of Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik GmbH. Together with the CSO & CFO, Mr. Martin Schürmann, he will also be responsible for the fate of the DESMA Group, which comprises 5 locations.

Dr. Zaun completed a degree in general mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University before receiving his doctorate with distinction as a research assistant and doctoral student at the Institute of Fluid Power Drives and Controls in 2007.

After successfully continuing his professional career in well-known companies in hydraulic and thermo technology, first as a design manager and then as managing director, Dr. Michael Zaun is now looking forward to the tasks and opportunities ahead of him: ‘My move to DESMA is for me a happy and consistent further development from the developer for hydraulic components, via a supplier of peripheral devices for the plastics processing industry, now to the market leader for plastics processing machines for elastomer technology. I am very pleased to be able to play a responsible role in the further development of this technologically well advanced company from now on.’
