Dunlop Grandtrek H/T31 factory standard on Lexus GX

Tokyo, Japan – Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. announced that it has begun supplying DUNLOP GRANDTREK H/T31 for use as factory standard tires in Japan on LEXUS GX550, which was launched on March 24, 2025.

Since its market launch in 2002, LEXUS GX has been sold mainly in North America and has evolved as an SUV that provides both comfortable driving performance even on a rough road and a sense of luxury. The new GX550 features a strong body structure and a powerful yet efficient engine to deliver superior driving performance. “OVERTRAIL+,” equipped with the special design, the latest suspension technology and driving support system, and 18-inch tires, achieves both on-road and off-road performance.

The GRANDTREK series, DUNLOP’s tires for SUVs, has long been used as factory standard tires for Toyota’s SUVs.

The GRANDTREK H/T31 was newly developed as a product that pursues on-road performance in addition to the reliability and durability that the GRANDTREK series has developed. The product strikes a balance between quiet performance, high fuel efficiency, and anti-wear performance at a high level by using a H/T (Highway Terrain) pattern and new tread rubber. In addition, we used “Nano Black,”* which is our unique design technique for deeper black coloring, for brand logos on tire sidewalls to improve their visibility and to give tires a more luxurious overall design aesthetic.
