Elkem Silicones USA Corp. has become the newest member of South Carolina’s Biotechnology Innovation Organization, SCBIO
Oslo, Norway – Elkem Silicones USA Corp. has become the newest member of South Carolina’s Biotechnology Innovation Organization, SCBIO.
SCBIO is a statewide, not-for-profit, public/private life sciences industry association and economic development organization formed to actively promote, build, support, expand, and convene South Carolina’s life sciences industry.
“We’re very excited to partner with SCBIO to support business growth opportunities and the expanding life sciences ecosystem within the state.,” says Reeshemah Chatham, Elkem’s Global Program Manager for Healthcare, “With a fast-growing footprint in York, South Carolina to support the healthcare market, Elkem Silicones is developing new products and creating diverse job opportunities in areas including chemistry research, manufacturing, supply chain, and toxicology/regulatory compliance. We’re looking forward to working with SCBIO and their network of state, academic and business partners as Elkem continues to execute its growth strategy.” Reeshemah will represent Elkem on SCBIO’s Board as we continue to invest and look forward to contributing to the development of the Life Sciences industry in South Carolina.
