Elastomer blends have become an integral part of rubber technology due to their technical importance. The blending technology has been widely used in all fields of polymer applications, where blending of two or more polymers, plastics or elastomers, or their combinations, is a commercially viable approach and method for attaining properties not available in a single polymer. Another reason for research in the area of blends is that polymer blends can result in new materials with unique properties that are absent in neat materials with existing materials.
