Falken Tires to exhibit at Mid-America Trucking Show and introduce BI837 commercial tire

Louisville, KY – Returning to the popular Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), to be held March 24-26 at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, after a two-year absence, Falken Tires, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber North America (SRNA), is planning to exhibit its commercial tire roster as well as display its latest product, the BI837, a drive position tire intended for super-regional use.

“We’re delighted to be exhibiting again at MATS, which attracts more than 72,000 attendees and over 1,000 exhibitors,” stated Bob Klimm, Falken’s Director of Sales, Commercial Division. Klimm has overseen Falken’s aggressive growth in the truck and bus radial business over the past five years.

This year marks MATS’ 50th anniversary, offering three full days of exhibits, education, entertainment and networking, all at the largest annual trucking event in the world.

“As Falken continues to expand in the commercial market, we welcome the chance to once again see our customers face-to-face,” Klimm continued. “We’ll have plenty of products to showcase, including the BI837, which features a hybrid tread design, closed outside shoulders and a block design tread face.”

“The BI837 has been designed to prevent stone drilling and features a long casing life by addressing groove geometry that releases stones while in operation,” added Natsuki “Nick” Yoshida, Falken Field Engineer. “We’ve developed this tire with a high-mileage tread compound, and will initially offer it in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 295/75R22.4 and 285/75R22.5 sizes in 2022 with more expansion to follow. We’re excited to present this tire to our customers because we know how well it performs.”
