Hankook Tire achieves Silver Winner at Indonesian K-Brand Award 2022

Jakarta, Indonesia – Hankook Tire won the Silver Winner in the Automotive Industry category at the Indonesian K-Brand Award 2022.

Organized by Markplus, Inc. together with Korea Indonesia Management Association (KIMA) under the theme ‘Grow with Innovation’, the award appreciates the performance of Korean brands in Indonesia. This award is expected to facilitate business and cultural understanding between Indonesia and Korea.

Hankook went through an assessment regarding its brand strategy and performance which includes target consumers, brand position in the community, sales performance, and brand equity. According to Hankook Global Research 2021, a survey research conducted by Hankook Tire in 2021 on Indonesians, Hankook’s brand awareness among Indonesians has increased over the last five years, from 58% in 2017 to 88.4% in 2022.

Hankook Tire aims to always provide products of premium quality customized to each local market. In Indonesia, Hankook Tire serves the needs of all vehicle segments from passenger cars (PCR) to commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses (TBR). “In line with global targets, Hankook Tire is currently prioritizing sales in the high-inch – 18 inch or above – tires that fit on SUVs and premium sedans,” Shin added.

Furthermore, Hankook Tire is continuing investment in technologies to take the lead in the future mobility by providing premium tires for electric vehicles.
