Harwick announces the retirement of Mark Guzzaldo

Akron, OH – Harwick Standard announced the following personnel changes:

Mark Guzzaldo, Account Executive, will be retiring effective March 18, 2022. Mark has worked for Harwick for 14+ years and has been in the chemical industry for 33 years. During his career, Mark served on the Board of Directors for several terms as Supplier Director for the Chicago Rubber Group. He also served on the Education Committee as Historian / Necrology. Mark was a member of the Fort Wayne Rubber & Plastics Group, Michigan Rubber Group, Twin Cities Rubber Group, Wisconsin Rubber Group, and Central Illinois Rubber Group. Harwick would like to thank Mark for his years of service and dedication.

Chuck Bonawitz has been promoted to Director – Strategic Marketing.  Chuck will be responsible for supplier relations strategy and the Product Manager team, with a goal to accelerate growth opportunities and improve market engagement.  Chuck will also oversee initiatives to leverage marketing data and improve the product management process.

For the past five years Chuck has been an Account Executive with Harwick overseeing marketing and national accounts for the PVC/plastics market segment. Prior to that, he held global sales and marketing roles with The Dow Chemical Company, and Rohm and Haas Company.

Ryan Lang has been promoted to Technical Manager. Ryan has been with Harwick for four years in the role of Technical Specialist. He has a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University, and a Masters of Science in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron. Ryan will be responsible for supporting Harwick’s customers and the sales team technically, and will have management responsibilities for some key suppliers/product lines.
