IISRP elects Mr. Zhuang Yi as its President International

Houston, TX – The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) elected Mr. Zhuang Yi as its President International for the year 2024 – 2025 at the association’s 64th Annual General Meeting on May 8, 2024. In his new role, he replaces Mr. Kazuyoshi Matsuura of Zeon Elastomers Corporation, who became the Institute’s Past-President International.

Mr. Zhuang Yi has a well-recognized and extensive professional background in the polymer industry. He is currently the chief specialist in synthetic materials for China Petroleum and Chemical Group (Sinopec).

Mr. Zhuang has been engaged in scientific research and management in the field of petrochemical and synthetic polymer materials. In 1988, he joined the Liaoyang Branch of PetroChina Company Limited. In 1997, he joined Sinopec and worked in the Science and Technology Department. In 2022, he was appointed as Sinopec’s Chief Specialist in the field of synthetic materials.

He currently serves as Vice President of the China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association and Director of the Chemical New Materials Professional Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.
In addition to Mr. Matsuura, who is now the Past President-International, the other members elected to the Institute Executive Committee for the year 2024 – 2025 are:
Mr. Kevin Liu of TSRC Corporation – President of the Asia Pacific Section and member of the FPAC.
Mr. Giovanni Cassuti of Versalis – EMEA Section Vice-President.
Mr. Brian Chapman of Kuraray Americas – Member of the FPAC
Mr. Masayoshi Iwasa of Asahi Kasei Corporation – Vice-President of the Asia Pacific Section.
Mr. Robert Rikhoff of Lion Elastomers – President of the Americas Section
Mr. Juan Ramon Salinas of IISRP – Managing Director, Assistant Treasurer, and Recording Secretary.
