Bangkok, Thailand – A compression rubber molding class will be held September 23, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 5 PM EST.

This online class will cover the Overview of the Compression Molding Process; Press Overview; Processing of Rubber; deflashing methods; Principles of Mold Construction; Cavity Layouts; Mold Steels and Finishing; Mold registration; Cavity inserts; Mold parting lines; Tear trims and overflows; Pulse filling; Preforms; # Venting; Platens, Mold Mounting and Mold Insulation; Vacuum Molding; and Process Troubleshooting.

Led by Mr. Terry Chapin, Mr. Chapin is currently a Rubber Technologist at Elastomeister doing rubber consulting, training and teaching, he has worked as a Senior Materials Engineer, working with elastomer and foam materials, Senior Rubber Technical and Cost Leader and a Tool Engineer for rubber and plastic molds. He holds two U.S. patents and has been involved in the rubber industry for 40 years, working with rubber companies globally. Terry has been an active technical speaker for university level continuing education instruction, rubber conferences and technical in-plant venues for 30 years.
