Lanxess appoints Palmer Holland to distribute colorant additive products

Pittsburgh, PA – Lanxess Corporation announced that its Polymer Additives (PLA) business unit has contracted Palmer Holland to be a distributor for its colorant additives products in the United States, effective June 15. The agreement covers Lanxess’ Macrolex solvent dyes, Bayplast and Bayfast pigments, as well as Bayscript and specialty dyes into both the plastics and CASE markets.

“We are happy to expand the partnership between Lanxess and Palmer Holland to include our Colorant Additives business line,” said Glen Bowen, head of sales, North America, Lanxess Polymer Additives business unit. “Palmer Holland has been a valued and trusted distribution partner for our Polymer Additives business unit for many years, and the extension of our relationship to include colorants will accelerate the growth of our business in the U.S.”

Established in 1925, Palmer Holland is a North American specialty chemical and ingredient distributor of raw materials headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with more than 40 account managers and ingredient consultants stationed across the United States.

The Polymer Additives (PLA) business unit of specialty chemicals company Lanxess is said to be one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bromine, bromine derivatives and phosphorus chemicals. With around 900 employees in 14 locations worldwide, the business offers a product portfolio of around 350 products that also includes a variety of other polymer additives such as plasticizers, hydrolysis stabilizers, colorant additives and solutions for water treatment.
