Pittsburgh, PA – Following successful Virtual Days events in Asia and Europe, specialty chemicals company Lanxess will bring the platform to the North American audience. The company will conduct a full week of free, live webinars giving an insider look at emerging industry trends, as well as the company’s latest developments and product innovations.
Lanxess’ Virtual Days North America will run from June 14-18, featuring an agenda packed with 26 sessions geared toward customers, potential customers, industry employees and other business professionals.
“Prior to the pandemic, our employees enjoyed meeting with customers and introducing new products at countless tradeshows and industry events across North America and around the world, and that has obviously been impacted in a major way,” said Antonis Papadourakis, regional president and CEO. “Like most companies, we were seeking solutions to remain engaged with our customers and business partners in this challenging time, and our Virtual Days events in other regions have garnered a lot of interest. So we are excited to get in front of customers and potential partners here in North America to share the latest-and-greatest from our business units in an efficient way.”
Experts from nine Lanxess business units will lead interactive discussions on the topics of Materials and Sustainability, Coatings, Construction and Industrial Applications, New Mobility and Consumer Protection.
Lanxess board of management member, Dr. Anno Borkowsky, will kick off the event with a keynote presentation focusing on the company’s efforts on combining growth and sustainability across all business units and sites. He will also explain why the company is coming through the pandemic so strongly, how it will expand its specialty chemicals portfolio through acquisitions, and how Lanxess will become climate neutral by 2040.
Shining the spotlight on its North American operations, Antonis Papadourakis will discuss the company’s changing and expanding footprint in the region. He will also speak to the need for companies to act, adapt and transform to keep pace in a rapidly changing world and industry.
Guest speaker Sebastian Brenner, managing director of CheMondis, the online chemical marketplace startup founded by Lanxess in 2019, will share how CheMondis is shaping the future of the chemical marketplace in Europe and delivering a state-of-the-art online customer experience for buyers and sellers alike.
In addition to the scheduled webinars, attendees of Virtual Days can explore an interactive, online 3D campus and immerse themselves in a world of Lanxess products by exploring information and downloadable documents.
