Martin Schürmann and DESMA part ways

Fridingen, Germany – For 16 years Martin Schürmann was with DESMA. Last Monday, the era for him at Desma ended abruptly and surprisingly for many.
Salzgitter AG, a Desma shareholder, intends to further expand the business unit ‘Technology’ as part of its strategy.
In order to implement KDE’s own growth strategy while at the same time strengthening its internal performance, DESMA will continue to carry out proven strategic projects in order to secure the market position it has acquired in the long term.

In the course of the realignment, Mr. Martin Schürmann will leave the management of the company by mutual agreement and with immediate effect. His previous duties on the management board will initially be performed by his colleague, Dr. Michael Zaun.
Mr. Schürmann has played a key role in shaping and shaping the company’s growth path. Most recently, he had done much to advance digitization in the industry.

Before Martin Schürmann came to DESMA in Fridingen 16 years ago, he was Managing Director of the South African company of KHS AG in Johannesburg, which also belongs to the Group.
The KDE team and Salzgitter AG as shareholder of KDE would like to thank Mr. Schürmann for his 35 years of successful work in various functions within the Group.
