Mechanical Rubber now offers flame resistant silicone
Warwick, NY – Answering an on-going market demand, Mechanical Rubber has recently completed a series of flammability tests on several silicone materials. So far, solid silicone compound MR60-60-34BK and closed cell silicone sponge compound MR60-242-RD-02 have both passed the following tests:
14 CFR Part 25.855(d) Amd 25-142 Appendix F Part 1(6), a 45-degree angle burn test.
14 CFR Part 25.853(a) Amd 15-116 Appendix F Part I(a)(1)(i), a vertical flammability test.
14 CFR Part 25.853(a) Amd 25-116 Appendix F Part I(a)(1)(iv), a horizontal flammability test.
