New Mercedes-Benz GLC fitted with Continental tires

Hanover, Germany – Mercedes-Benz is fitting its new compact SUV GLC with tires from Continental. All the available drive types – gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid models – will come factory-fitted with Continental’s EcoContact 6 Q. The tire offers exceptional efficiency: long service life, low fuel consumption and very low rolling noise.

Continental developed the EcoContact 6 Q for exceptionally energy-efficient driving – for a diverse range of vehicle models, regardless of their drive type. This is achieved thanks to a special rubber compound that reduces energy absorption through the tire while the vehicle is in motion and, in turn, reduces friction and rolling resistance. In addition, Continental has optimized the tire tread and so further reduced rolling noise. The EcoContact 6 Q is also characterized by its exceptionally long service life, outstanding brake performance and superior handling – all thanks to its specially modified blocks, sipes and side grooves.
