Orion S.A. announced that Natalia Scherbakoff has been appointed the company’s new chief technology officer.
She will succeed David Deters, who for nearly a decade led a global innovation program that made Orion a leader in developing sustainable materials, battery additives and other technology in the carbon black industry. Deters announced his retirement earlier this year and will remain with Orion through the end of 2024 to ensure a seamless transition.
Lubrizol announces the appointments of several industry veterans to its Additives leadership team.
Keith Corkwell has been promoted to President, Lubrizol Additives, bringing more than 25 years of Lubrizol commercial and technical experiences to this vital role. Most recently serving as Vice President, Additives Americas, Keith brings a deep understanding of the industry, including technology important to Lubrizol’s Additives customers in a variety of markets and regions. In his decades at Lubrizol, he has led commercial and product teams across the Additives portfolio, from fuel additives, heavy duty engine oil, driveline, e-mobility and a variety of other categories.
The German magazine “AUTO BILD Allrad” has tested whether all-season tires can also be a safe tire choice for 4×4 vehicles – and answered “yes”. Ten tire models from European, Asian, and American manufacturers in the size 245/45 R 18 100 Y were asked to test a 4×4 Cupra Formentor. After 14 tests, Continental’s AllSeasonContact 2 came out on top with the top rating of “exemplary” and an overall score of 1.2, with the experts from Germany praising its balance and good driving dynamics in all weather conditions.
