R.D. Abbott offers free webinar on Arlanxeo rubber materials
Cerritos, CA – Join R.D. Abbott Wednesday, September 1, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. (ET) for “Introduction to ARLANXEO Butyls, BRs and SBRs,” a free webinar about ARLANXEO rubber materials for the tire industry and specialty markets. This live event is part of R.D. Abbott’s 2021 Webinar Series, which provides technical insights and processing recommendations from R.D. Abbott’s supplier partners.
In addition to hearing a technically rich presentation, live webinar attendees will also have a chance to win a copy of Arlanxeo’s newly released Handbook of Synthetic Rubber.
Butyl rubber (IIR) has a unique combination of structure and properties that impart permeation resistance, damping and chemical resistance. Applications include tire inner liners, tubes and bladders. In addition to butyl, this webinar examines butadiene (BR), a co-polymer that includes emulsion (E-SBR) and solution (S-SBR) grades of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) that are used in many tire compounds.
The presenter, Kevin Kulbaba, is a technical service and application development manager with Arlanxeo. Kevin will cover topics that include properties, including gas transmission and resistance to water absorption; how butyl, BR and SBR are made and cured; commercial grades offered by Arlanxeo; and applications for butyl, BR and SBR.
