Rubber Division extends deadline for technical papers for International Elastomer Conference

Akron, OH – Rubber Division, ACS invites your submissions for inclusion in their International Elastomer Conference Technical Meeting & Student Symposium
October 17-19, 2023 in Cleveland, OH. All abstracts received by June 4, 2023 will be considered for the program.

Technical Meeting – We are accepting proposals for papers on the chemistry, technology and science of rubber and allied substances. Presentations on industry trends, challenges and opportunities are also accepted.

The Technical Meeting will be organized into the following topics:

New Commercial Developments
Safeguarding the Use of Nano-fillers
Safeguarding the Use of Rubber Chemicals & Additives
Sustainable Materials – Sustainable Processes

Advances in Materials & Processes for Tires
Characterization of Rubber, Additives & Compounds
Elastomer Fatigue & Environmental Resistance
Masterbatch Techniques, Custom Mixing & Dispersions
Synthesis & Chemical Modification of Rubber

Wear, Tribology & Wear-particles

Student Symposium – Undergraduate and Graduate students in Rubber/Polymer chemistry and engineering programs are invited to submit abstracts to the Student Symposium. The Symposium provides a platform for students to share their academic research and applied industry experiences through oral presentations and a separate poster session. Financial prizes will be awarded to the top posters and oral presentations.

Abstracts must be received by June 4, 2023 in order to be considered for inclusion in the schedule. Technical Paper manuscripts will be due September 24, 2023.
