Silcotech names Yogesh Chauhan as CEO
Bolton, ONT – Silcotech North America has named Yogesh Chauhan as CEO amid several personnel moves.
Chauhan oversees all executive functions, including operations, design, tooling, project management, supply chain and quality/regulatory affairs. Since joining Silcotech in 2010, he has been instrumental in implementing operational efficiencies and establishing business improvements aligned with ISO 13485/9001/14001 standards and FDA regulatory systems.
With over 25 years of experience in the medical and automotive sectors, Chauhan has played a key role in driving innovation and operational excellence in the silicone manufacturing industry. He holds a master of science degree from California State University and has completed the Senior Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, he is involved in sustainability initiatives. He led Silcotech’s participation in a GreenBiz panel discussion on “Implementing GHG Reduction & Climate Resilience Projects,” focusing on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance climate resilience in business operations.

Raphael Boettger, purchasing specialist: While providing purchasing support for internal stakeholders, Boettger is also responsible for a broad array of operational duties, including logistics, IT services, shipping coordination and infrastructure planning and implementation. He also spearheads media production, advertising and marketing support and cultivates strategic relationships with supply-chain partners. He also serves as a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) member. Outside Silcotech, he serves as president of the Palgrave Rotary Club, a local chapter of Rotary International dedicated to community development and humanitarian efforts. He has been instrumental in organizing events and initiatives that benefit the community, including tree lighting ceremonies and the “Wines of the World” event.
Manpreet Kaur, EHSQ (environment, health, safety and quality) specialist: Kaur oversees operational processes and ensures compliance with ISO standards to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality and operational efficiency. She holds a master’s in physics and earned her internal auditor certification from BSI in December 2023.She completed first aid certification in December 2023 and obtained JHSC certification in January. She played a key role in developing Silcotech’s multiyear accessibility plan for 2023-2027, underscoring her commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible workplace.
Wei Li, quality manager: Li brings over 22 years of manufacturing experience to her new role. For the past 18 years, she has held various positions at Silcotech, including quality engineer, process development specialist and operations analyst. She holds a bachelor’s in electronics and optics and is a Certified Quality Engineer (2006) and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (2009). Li supports scientific molding and quality enhancement of products and processes.
Shane Nixon, production manager: Nixon oversees and optimizes manufacturing processes to ensure the production of high-quality silicone components at Silcotech’s manufacturing facility in Ontario. He supports production, maintenance and overall efficiency of production processes.
Erin Laporte, project administration specialist: As part of the project management team, Laporte assists the team throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation phase (request for quote) through prototyping and development until production. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Before joining Silcotech, Erin gained over 23 years’ experience in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry, starting as a bioanalytical laboratory chemist and transitioning to project leader overseeing clinical trials. She is a trained lead investigator in QMS with experience in conducting and participating in quality audits and FDA/Health Canada regulatory inspections. She resides in Caledon and volunteers with the Caledon Female Hockey Association as head trainer.
