T-PLAS postponed until February 2022
Bangkok, Thailand – The next staging of T-PLAS, The International Trade Fair for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, has been moved to February 9-12, 2022, at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was originally scheduled for September 2021. As one of the region’s leading trade fairs for the plastics and rubber industries, T-PLAS will now be strategically held concurrently with several other exhibitions from the Messe Düsseldorf Asia portfolio, including Pack Print International, Medical Fair Thailand, Wire and Tube Southeast Asia and the inaugural editions of CorruTec Asia, GIFA and METEC Southeast Asia.
It is anticipated that by next year, with further easing of travel restrictions and ongoing successful vaccine deployments worldwide, there will be a more optimistic environment for companies to do business safely and effectively at T-PLAS.
“As a flagship trade fair in the region for the plastics and rubber sectors, moving T-PLAS to next year was the most prudent and responsible decision in view of the ongoing travel restrictions and varying quarantine requirements for different countries. Following close consultation with industry associations and together with our representative office in Thailand which has been closely monitoring the pandemic developments in Thailand, we decided that postponing the trade fair to next year is in the best interest of the exhibitors and visitors,” stated Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
Lee Ai Ling, senior project manager at Messe Düsseldorf Asia, added, “Though a difficult but necessary decision, the health and safety of all stakeholders takes priority. We would like to thank all our partners and exhibitors from all over the world who have stood by the trade fair as we make these difficult and time sensitive decisions. We appreciate their continued support with the new dates. We are taking immediate steps to provide all parties with the required support and look forward to welcoming them in February.”
