When selecting host cities the division takes into consideration the convention center facilities, hotel packages and venue options for events. Other factors include the geographic location, the commitment of the city to deliver positive experiences for attendees, the backing of the local hospitality industry, city leaders and volunteers, in addition to the engagement of the city with Rubber Division, ACS. Having worked with each of these selected cities previously, the division is confident in their ability to be wonderful hosts of the International Elastomer Conference.

“We are delighted to announce our new, future IEC schedule and cities for 2023-2029. We are returning to Cleveland in the odd numbered years, and to cities, such as Pittsburgh and Louisville, in the even years, which have a strong history of drawing attendees to our IEC events as well. Our IEC is now very well positioned to be successful throughout the remainder of this decade,” said James D. Eddy, Rubber Division, ACS 2022 Chair.
