June 6, 13, 20 & 27 – Rubber Science & Fabrication – This four-day event (8:30 a.m. – 5 pm. each day) is the single most comprehensive treatment of critical concepts for rubber and rubber fabrication offered in the industry. This course provides the attendee with essential information on rubber science and rubber fabrication, with emphasis on rubber molding; and is designed to provide a practical understanding of rubber science and the various rubber polymers. Sources of the rubber polymers, how they are made and how their architecture determines their basic characteristics will be presented. Basic design elements that make rubber a unique engineering material will also be discussed. June 15 – Rubber Explained – This course is back by popular demand! It was designed for sales and executives working in the rubber industry. Centered around practical explanations and basic fundamentals, this is the perfect course for the non-technical individual.

This course will be in-person at our Elastomer Training Center in Akron, OH and also offered virtually. A picnic lunch will be provided for in-person attendees and lunch will also be provided to our virtual attendees. Click here for full details.

June 21 – Rubber Manufacturing Economics – The objective of this course is to provide understanding of a typical cost structure in the rubber industry, to promote awareness of different cost components and their effects on final rubber properties. Based on her personal experience as a chemist, plant process engineer, scientist and manager; working for the rubber industry and in academia in the USA, Europe and Asia, the instructor will review the rubber industry economic status, focusing on the current and upcoming industry trends and suggesting the pathways to expect and mitigate negative cost and quality effects. Attendees will learn about effects of ingredient and process characteristics on rubber properties and costs of the final products.
