The Rubber Division’s next WORD Conversations is July 23rd

Akron, OH – WOMEN OF OUR INDUSTRY: Join the Rubber Division, ACS, for the next WORD Conversation on July 23, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. ET with featured guest Lori Knous and a summertime theme. This WORD Conversation begins with open networking for approximately 10 minutes followed by a conversation between the featured guest, Lori Knous, General Manager of Smithers Akron-based materials testing laboratories, and Pauline Glaza, Endurica’s Marketing Manager.

This event will be held via Zoom and registration is free. Summertime will be the theme so dress or accessorize in your favorite summer attire.

As the General Manager of Smithers Akron-based materials testing laboratories, Lori manages the operations, including both analytical and physical properties testing of primarily rubber, plastic, and composite materials. She oversees a team of experienced testing engineers, chemists, and technicians to deliver excellent customer service and ensure that all quality systems and processes continue to meet industry and client standards. Lori Knous has sixteen years of experience in operations leadership and nearly 30 years of experience in materials and metallurgy. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical and materials engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Science in metallurgical and material science from Case Western Reserve University.
