Yokohama Rubber to exhibit at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2025
Hiratsuka, Japan—The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that, together with its US sales subsidiary, Yokohama Aerospace America, Inc., it will participate in the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2025, to be held in Hamburg Messe in Germany over three days starting on April 8. The Aircraft Interiors Expo is a world-class trade show featuring aircraft interior products, related materials, and the latest innovative technologies. The YOKOHAMA booth will showcase the company’s lineup of aircraft lavatory products, including a prototype wheelchair-accessible lavatory unit and retrofit kits that can be installed in existing lavatories as an interior upgrade. Yokohama Rubber aims to expand sales of its aircraft interior products in the replacement (supplementary products) market, targeting aircraft manufacturers, airlines, aircraft maintenance companies, etc.
In addition to being a major global tire manufacturer, Yokohama Rubber is one of Japan’s leading aerospace products manufacturers. Since the 1980s, the company has manufactured and sold a wide range of products for commercial aircraft, including lavatory modules made from lightweight composite materials, potable water tanks, onboard stairways, thermal insulation materials, and honeycomb structural components. Yokohama Rubber has supplied approximately 17,000 lavatory modules for the Boeing 757 and 737. It also offers custom-made replacement parts for airlines’ retrofit projects.
