Zochem recognized with Best in Advanced Manufacturing award

Brampton, Ontario, Canada – Zochem has received the  Brampton Board of Trade (BBOT) Award of Excellence in the category of Advanced Manufacturing for 2021. This is an especially significant award in that, according to the BBOT, “Advanced manufacturing is the largest industry by employment in Brampton, accounting for almost 25 percent of Brampton’s workforce.”    

The BBOT observed that Zochem “has exemplified both advanced manufacturing and innovation. Being certified by both Health Canada and the FDA, Zochem continues to find new methods to protect the end customer in providing a safe, quality product.” The awards committee further stated that, “Zochem’s main driver of innovation is to react to the smallest undesired observation and run a trial to mitigate that observation from reoccurring.”

Zochem was represented at the virtual awards gala by Shahram Mehdian, Brampton plant manager. In accepting the award, Mehdian said, “This is a great achievement for Zochem, and recognition of the excellent work done by all of our employees who have made Zochem an industry leader in safety, quality and customer service. We are especially proud of the award, knowing that the four other category nominees have been industry leaders in their own fields for many decades.” He concluded his remarks by noting that, “We have been a part of the Brampton community for 47 years and remain appreciative of the inclusion in the success the city has had for over four decades.” Mehdian lightened the mood by offering that he “hopes to accept this same award again for Zochem in another 47 years!”
