2023 AMA Supercross winners all equipped with Dunlop tires

Salt Lake City, UT – Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. announced that riders equipped with their high-performance DUNLOP Brand tires won the title of Series Champion in every class (“450SX,” “250SX East,” “250SX West”) at the 2023 AMA Supercross Championship, locking in their victories at the final race of the tournament, which was held this past May 13 in Salt Lake City (USA). This marks the fourteenth consecutive year in which riders using DUNLOP tires have dominated in every class at the AMA Supercross Championship.

It was a turbulent tournament in the 450SX Class, as several top riders were knocked out of the race due to injuries over the course of the series. But through it all, Chase Sexton of Team Honda HRC never wavered in his performance, winning six out of seventeen races while maintaining high scores throughout the season along his way to winning his very first Series Championship. Meanwhile, in the 250SX WEST Class, Jett Lawrence (the younger brother of Hunter Lawrence, also racing for Team Honda HRC) dominated the series, winning six races outright and making it to the podium at every race. As such, his victory was never in doubt, and the competition was not even close.

One of the top off-road motocross racing tournaments in America and with fans throughout the world, the AMA Supercross Championship sees riders compete on elaborate technical courses that are specially constructed out of dirt and gravel on the grounds of baseball diamonds or other stadiums. As the races take place on extremely challenging courses full of jumps, hoops and tight corners coming one after another, the tournament requires tires that provide consistent high performance when it comes to traction, braking, cornering and more. The fact that riders outfitted with DUNLOP tires have dominated the podium in every class and at every race of the AMA Supercross Championship for fourteen consecutive years is proof positive of the high overall performance that DUNLOP tires have to offer.
