Toyo Tires Treadpass returns to the 2022 SEMA show with 28 world debut vehicle builds
Cypress, CA – Toyo Tires® is returning to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 1-4. 28 highly anticipated world-debut vehicles and a unique art installation and demonstration will be revealed by the company. Toyo Tires Treadpass, a popular destination for SEMA attendees, will be returning for its 9th year. Treadpass will showcase the largest concentration of world-debut vehicles and is located between the Central and South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. On display adjacent to Treadpass will be an art installation by artist and photographer, 2wenty, and a live painting demonstration by artist and designer Gregory Siff.
28 vehicles will make their world-debuts at Treadpass including a first ever widebody Mercedes Benz 300 SL, a 1993 Mazda RX7 with a race spec M120 Mercedes V12 Motor and HGT Sequential transmission, a time attack inspired 2019 Audi RS3, and an all-new 2022 Ford Maverick.
Artists Gregory Siff and 2wenty will collaborate on an art installation combining photography with live painting on a modified Subaru BRZ. Gregory Siff is an artist that paints in a purposeful yet playful manner, his work exhibits meaning that is literal and open for interpretation of nostalgia and childhood. His work has been featured in publications including the New York Times, Architectural Digest, and The Wall Street Journal along with various locations such as Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and Google HQ. Additionally, he has worked with brands including Mercedes Benz, Helmut Lung, and adidas. 2wenty is a mix media artist and photographer that is known for using light as a central theme to his work. He has worked with brands that include Arc’teryx and Stance, while his work has been featured at Art Basel, Forbes, and WIRED magazine.
On display at Treadpass will be the Open Country® R/T Trail, an all-new on- and off-road rugged terrain tire that delivers better off-road grip than a traditional all-terrain tire, most evident in sand, mud, and deep snow. It is a hybrid tire that is positioned between the M/T and A/T product categories and fills a role in between the popular Open Country R/T and best-selling Open Country A/T III. The tire will be produced in 47 unique size and load combinations for 16- to 24-inch wheel diameters and up to a 38-inch overall diameter. The most popular sizes will start to be available in November with additional sizes/fitments to follow in subsequent months.
