Bolder Industries expands Terre Haute team as Indiana facility scales toward full capacity
Terra Haute, IN – Bolder Industries announced the first phase of hiring for its Terre Haute Facility, with plans to bring on 35 to 40 team members by July as the company continues expanding its Indiana operations.
Open positions span logistics, engineering, skilled trades, and plant operations, with titles including Logistics Coordinators, Quality Assurance Leaders, Maintenance Technicians, Shift Leaders, Floor Operators, Control Room Operators, and Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians.
The hiring comes as Bolder advances the scale-up of its Terre Haute facility, which the company acquired in 2021 and is actively expanding toward full capacity. In this initial phase, the site is designed to feature four proprietary reactors and have the capacity to process up to 6.6 million end-of-life tires annually, with the capacity to produce nearly 18,000 metric tons of BolderBlack® and 21,000 metric tons of BolderOil® per year. Those materials serve as high-performance alternatives to virgin carbon black and fossil-based oils used across industrial markets.
For Tony Wibbeler, founder and CEO of Bolder Industries, the announcement is also personal.
“When the prior operator walked away, they left this community with an empty building and unkept promises,” said Wibbeler. “As a native Hoosier, I felt called to step in and see this through. It was not the ideal moment for Bolder, but we acquired the site, invested in the engineering, and made a commitment to do this right. By the end of 2026, Terre Haute gets the circular manufacturing operation it was always supposed to have and the jobs that come with it.”
The range of openings reflects the kind of operation Bolder is building in Terre Haute. The facility requires operators, engineers, technicians, maintenance specialists, and frontline leaders working together to run advanced manufacturing at scale — representing the full breadth of careers the circular economy is creating in Indiana.
“We are not just filling jobs, we are establishing careers,” said Bolder Industries Executive Vice President, Operations Brad Giddens.. “We need operators and technicians who want to do serious manufacturing work and grow with us. The people who join in this first phase will help define how this facility runs and what it becomes.”
The hiring also comes at a moment of accelerating demand for sustainable, domestically produced alternatives to petroleum-based industrial materials. A career at Bolder Industries is built around something tangible: chemistry extracted from end-of-life tires that finds its way back into the products people use every day. Bolder materials are already part of supply chains serving brands like Pirelli and Patagonia, and 3,000+ applications across rubber, plastics and consumer goods. The Terre Haute facility will help meet that demand at scale
