Zeon launches innovative data management system for elastomers R&D

Tokyo, Japan – Zeon Corporation has launched a new data management system dedicated to elastomer research and development. As the company’s first subscription-based service, the platform enables centralized management and use of R&D data related to rubber products, helping customers improve efficiency and accelerate innovation. During the initial rollout, Zeon will prioritize customers in Japan before gradually expanding availability to additional markets.

Data management remains a significant challenge in elastomer product development. R&D information is often spread across multiple systems, making it difficult for organizations to effectively access and leverage historical data. Through years of supplying elastomers and working closely with customers, Zeon identified this issue as a widespread challenge across the industry.

To address these needs, Zeon developed a data management system specifically designed for the rubber product R&D process. The platform includes practical features tailored to day-to-day research activities and uses a database that integrates master data for major compounding agents in Japan with catalog information. This allows users to quickly access and utilize relevant data, improving both efficiency and decision-making.

The system also provides an intuitive user interface and user experience optimized for rubber material R&D, with a strong focus on usability and data visibility. Zeon plans to continue expanding and enhancing the platform’s capabilities in response to evolving customer needs.

Beyond the growth drivers identified in Phase 3 of its medium-term management plan, STAGE30, Zeon has also established new growth drivers to support its next stage of development. In June, the data management system was added to this portfolio. The company aims to establish the platform as a key component of its strategy for increasing the value of its elastomer business.

By combining its expertise in elastomers with the data utilization technologies it has developed over many years, Zeon seeks to support customer innovation and contribute to the continued advancement of the elastomer industry.
