RDAbbott to exhibit mining industry solutions at CIM EXPO
Burlington, ONT – RDAbbott Canada, Ltd., a division of R.D. Abbott Co., Inc. (RDAbbott), will showcase materials and technologies for the mining industry at this year’s CIM Convention & EXPO in booth #1705. CIM, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, is returning to in-person events and hosting CIM EXPO, Canada’s premier mining trade show, at the Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from May 1 to 3, 2022. The CIM EXPO will be held in conjunction with the CIM 2022 Convention, which runs through May 4 and includes networking opportunities and expert-led technical presentations.
As part of CIM EXPO, RDAbbott joins hundreds of companies that will exhibit the latest in mining equipment, tools, technology, services, and products. RDAbbott will feature lines from Parker LORD, Cancarb Limited, NovationSi, and 3M while highlighting solutions for the mining industry.
Since 2019, RDAbbott Canada Ltd. has been the exclusive Canadian distributor for Parker LORD brand names and products, including Chemlok® rubber-to-metal adhesives, from its multiple warehouse locations across the country. In July 2021, RDAbbott signed a new distribution agreement with 3M to expand its distribution of 3M Advanced Materials such as fluoroelastomers, which can be used for O-rings, gaskets, and seals in mining equipment.
Visitors to the RDAbbott booth at CIM EXPO 2022 will also learn about Parker LORD’s Chemlok® Cold Bond (CB) Adhesives for belt repairs and mining applications, such as belt splicing, shock pads, abrasion pads, pulley lagging, and slurry pipes. Chemlok® CB 100AB, the first of several Parker LORD CB Adhesives, bonds vulcanized rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-rubber at ambient temperatures. In comparison to other cold-bonding adhesives in the marketplace, Parker LORD’s CB adhesives are free of trichloroethylene (TCE) and contain lower levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
