Glen Ellyn, IL – Jim Sattler, AMAP’s longtime Executive Director has decided to retire as of September 1, 2021. Jim has served as AMAP’s Executive Director since 2014. Under Jim’s guidance and leadership, AMAP has grown substantially and today lives up to its mission of promoting technical research, education, production, and planning assistance for modified asphalts.
AMAP’s Board of Directors, committee chairs and, most of all, AMAP’s members will miss Jim.
The Board of Directors has conducted a thorough search to identify Jim’s replacement and the team to lead AMAP into its next chapter. After receiving proposals from several companies and considering other individuals, AMAP’s leadership has selected CM Services, Inc., The Association Partnership Company, to provide AMAP with the staff and services it requires.
CM Services is a 42-year-old association management company headquartered in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. CM Services provides the staff and all services to approximately 17 different national and international trade associations, like AMAP. In fact, CM Services is the management company for three associations you may have heard of, Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA) and International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA).
AMAP’s new Executive Director will be Ali Mostardo who has served as a Senior Association Manager working with AEMA, ARRA, and ISSA which Ali will continue to do. Ali has already begun working with the AMAP Executive Committee to ensure a quick and seamless transition. Also serving on the new AMAP team will be Anne Walhout, Association Coordinator, and CM Services will be adding an Association Coordinator to work directly with AMAP and its members. Our Association Coordinators will collaborate with AMAP’s various committees to deliver the education, marketing, technical, and other services of the association to its members and to the broader paving and roofing industries. Rounding out the new AMAP team will be Rick Church, CM Services’ Head Coach, who will serve in a Management Liaison capacity. Additionally, with the cooperation of the AMAP Treasurer and board of directors, CM Services’ accounting staff will handle all financial transactions and reporting, and CM’s communications team will handle all AMAP communications.
