Arkema Kyoto Technical Center celebrates 30th anniversary

Kyoto, Japan – Arkema Kyoto Technical Center (KTC) opened its door for the first time on Apr.1, 1993 with a mission to provide Technical Support to our customers in the region, particularly in Japan. Along the years, and thanks to the dedication and commitment of its past and present employees, KTC has grown to become one of the flagship R&D centers in the Asia-Pacific region.

KTC is located in Kyoto Research Park, the first privately operated Research Park in Japan, which hosts today more than 500 companies and institutions in the field of ICT, Biotech, Electronics, or Machinery, and which provides a great scientific and collaborative environment for Arkema’s R&D team.

KTC research and business development teams support Arkema’s High Performance Polymers solutions, Thiochemicals, Incubator products (Elium® resins, Piezotech®, UDX tapes) for various markets such as Industry, Paint & Coatings, Consumer goods, Water, Energy, and Transportation.
On March 24, Arkema’s team gathered to celebrate the event, in the presence of many special guests from Kyoto, our business partners, as well as Erwoan PERZON, Senior Vice President, High Performance Polymers and Member of Arkema Executive Committee, Armand AJDARI, Arkema Chief Technology Officer, and Xavier DURAND-DELACRE, Arkema Group, Regional President Europe (outside France), Japan, Korea & India.
