The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it has begun supplying its ADVAN Sport V107 tires as original equipment (OE) for the BMW iX3 battery electric vehicle (BEV) that the German automaker BMW Group began selling onwards from March 2026. Yokohama Rubber is supplying 255/40R21 102Y size front tires and 275/40R21 107Y size rear tires.

Continental announced the sale of its ContiTech group sector to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds for €4.0 billion. The transaction also includes performance-based components of up to €250 million in subsequent years. The sale of its industrial business is the final step in Continental’s realignment. Once completed, the DAX-listed company will become a pure-play tire manufacturer for the first time in its history. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

Tire manufacturer Giti Tire has been named the world’s fastest-growing tire brand for 2026, posting 38% growth and moving to the eighth position in global rankings, according to the latest industry report.
The recognition came from the Tyres 25 2026 report by Brand Finance, which identified Giti as the top-performing brand in terms of growth during the year.

The coatings transaction between Carlyle and BASF announced on October 10, 2025, was completed on June 30, 2026, following receipt of all required regulatory approvals.
