Brenntag signs exclusive distribution agreement with Evonik

Essen, Germany – Brenntag has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Evonik for its Protectosil® product line. Since June 2023, Brenntag has been distributing these high-quality, silane compound-based building protection products to customers in Germany.

Alain Kavafyan, Business Manager Coatings & Construction Brenntag DACH: “Surface protection, such as against graffiti or corrosion damage, is of great importance in the construction industry, as it can reduce maintenance costs and extend the life of buildings by decades. That’s why I’m very pleased that together with Evonik we can offer our customers in Germany another high-quality product line in this area, too, to improve and protect their construction projects to a high standard.”

Protectosil® are silane systems based on silicon that are used as protective coatings for building surfaces. The molecules penetrate deep into the fabric of buildings and also protect structures made of reinforced concrete from damage and decay. In this way, a previously unattained durability and resistance of mineral building surfaces is achieved.

Natalie Zeisel, Channel Manager EMEA of Evonik’s Silanes Business Line, says: “Especially in the German construction industry, which is dominated by medium-sized companies, more and more suppliers are focusing on sustainable and climate-friendly construction. Protectosil® can make a noticeable contribution to this. That is why we are very pleased to be working even more closely with our long-standing partner Brenntag in the future. Together, we can offer even easier access to our high-quality building protection solutions for companies that differentiate themselves from the competition by being more sustainable.”

The areas of application for Protectosil® are diverse: from hydrophobing to graffiti protection and facade cleaning to stone consolidation of classic natural stone, the product line offers extensive added value for different requirements. Protectosil® significantly increases the service life of protected buildings and bridges, and can thus also fully meet high sustainability requirements.
