Tire manufacturers threatened with lawsuit over the use of 6PPD
Earthjustice, an environmental litigation group, notified over a dozen American tire manufacturers of their intent to sue them over violations of the Endangered Species Act if they do not stop the use of 6PPD. In the letter to the tire manufacturers Earthjustice gave the companies 60 days to cease the “unauthorized take of these species” before they engage in litigation against the manufacturers.

Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone) celebrated the expansion of its Warren County, Tennessee Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) Tire Plant located in Morrison with an official groundbreaking ceremony today.
