Freudenberg-NOK honors top materials suppliers with Excellence Awards

Plymouth, MI – Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies recently presented its SEAL (Supplier Excellence Achievement Level) Awards to six vendors that provided outstanding service and support to the company during 2022. Freudenberg-NOK runs the business operations for Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in the Americas.

The annual awards represent the highest recognition Freudenberg-NOK gives to suppliers. In addition to achieving top performance rankings, suppliers who achieve SEAL status are considered essential partners to the company. Freudenberg-NOK has approximately 300 direct materials suppliers.

“We are delighted to present the annual SEAL Awards to our most deserving vendors in order to highlight both their achievements and our appreciation of their contributions to Freudenberg-NOK’s ongoing success,” said Tim Layman, Supplier Development Manager, Freudenberg-NOK. “These business partners consistently pursue process and product improvements and outstanding communications that set a benchmark for partnership and collaboration.”

Now in its 16th year, the SEAL Awards recognize raw material and metal fabrication partners who have consistently maintained excellent standards in areas like quality, delivery, cost management, technology, and customer service. The awards are presented in three levels of recognition, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

2022 SEAL Award winners in the Metals and Metal Fabrication category include:
Gold winner: AJ Rose Manufacturing (Avon, Ohio)
Silver winner: Lapham-Hickey Steel (Pawcatuck, Conn.)
Bronze winner: Coilplus, Inc., Connecticut Division, (Waterbury, Conn.)

2022 SEAL Award winners in the Chemicals and Non-metallic Components category include:
Gold winner: The Chemours Company (Wilmington Del.)
Silver winner: Accudyn Products, Inc. (Erie, Penn.)
Bronze winner: Wacker Chemical Corp. (Ann Arbor, Mich.)

“Freudenberg-NOK prioritizes innovation, engineering excellence, quality, and service,” Layman said. “Our supply base is crucial in helping us achieve these metrics for our customers. We are honored by the dedication and efforts these six companies demonstrated on our behalf.”

The SEAL Awards assess a supplier’s annual performance and service achievements against a scorecard to identify top achievers and to encourage adoption of continuous improvement and lean operations.
