The Australian Embassy in Japan and Bridgestone Corporation co-hosted the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC) Partners Reception on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

The event celebrated the success of the world’s premier solar car race, the 2025 BWSC, held in Australia from August 24 to 31, 2025, and shared initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society with BWSC as a starting point, together with participating teams and co-creation partners.

Two distinguished leaders will be recognized by the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) at its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Dr. Elizabeth Delzell will receive the prestigious IISRP General Award, while Dr. Irina Yurovska will be honored with the coveted Technical Award. The formal presentation of both awards will take place on April 15, 2026, during the 66th IISRP Annual General Meeting in Houston, Texas, USA.

Hankook Tire is supplying the Ventus evo SUV as original equipment for the Tiguan and Tayron Volkswagen models. A total of six different tire sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches are available for various model versions of the best-selling Tiguan, well over a million of which have been registered in Germany alone. Five sizes are available for the Tayron, a crossover SUV that comes in a choice of five or seven-seater versions.

Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) has expanded its lineup of extruded rubber profiles designed for electromagnetic interference (EMI) applications, including bonded O‑rings, D‑rings, and frame gaskets. The company’s latest offerings support both standard and custom profile shapes, as well as multiple elastomer bases. These extrusions are available in silicone and fluorosilicone, filled with electrically conductive particles for robust EMI shielding. Many of these materials are certified to the MIL‑DTL‑83528 specification and listed on the Defense Logistics Agency’s Qualified Products List.

With effect from January 1, 2026, the Freudenberg Performance Materials brand will replace the Filc brand, and the name of the company will also change from the same date. The new brand presence concludes the successful integration of Filc in Freudenberg Performance Materials. For customers and suppliers, the only changes relate to the company address and the name of the bank account holder
