Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) is building on its momentum in the Truck, Bus, and Radial (TBR) market as Hino Trucks and Hino Canada have selected its TBR tires for the U.S. and Canadian markets. The premier medium-duty truck maker will offer Hankook’s regional AH37 and long-haul DL11 tires on its L Series models.

Enviro’s CEO Fredrik Emilson, chairman Alf Blomqvist, and board member Peter Möller were present as the construction of Enviro Systems’ recycling plant in Uddevalla officially began today. Together with Uddevalla’s municipal councilor Martin Pettersson and the property owner Fratera’s CEO Peter Karlsson, they held a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony with the assistance of an excavator.

Sumitomo Rubber North America, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., announced the promotion of Tsuyoshi “TJ” Johnson to Director of Product Planning, Falken Passenger Car and Light Truck Tires.

A fifteen-year member of the SRNA team, Ho has held several positions throughout the company, including stints as Executive Assistant and Financial Analyst. Prior to joining SRNA, she worked as a Project Manager and a clothing designer for clients including McDonald’s and Electronic Arts.

The Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP) is hosting its inaugural Call for Abstracts to cover the theme of Technology on the Rise. Submission on topics related to quality, performance, innovation, and implementation in modified asphalt paving and roofing applications are welcome. The abstract must not exceed 500 words and must provide a description of the presentation

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it has begun applying its proprietary “E+” mark on its tires for trucks and buses. The “E+” mark, which indicates the tire has special qualities suitable for electrified vehicles, was first applied to YOKOHAMA passenger car tires in the latter half of 2023 in a move to strengthen the appeal of YOKOHAMA tires for electrified vehicles. The first truck or bus tires to bear the “E+” mark will be a tire sold for use on buses in Japan and another one for buses in Europe.
