Covestro has officially opened its newly shaped technical center for high performance polyurethane elastomers of the Vulkollan® range. Equipped with the latest generation and dedicated equipment for the processing of Desmodur® 15 based elastomers, this technical center in Leverkusen aims at enabling the development of new Vulkollan® based solutions as part of Covestro’s Solutions & Specialties segment. GRI’s new mixing plant in Sri Lanka on schedule

The mixing plant entails an investment of USD 25 million by GRI. Featuring a special design, the plant is being built using steel and reaches a height of 100 ft. The plant will have six mixing lines, and so far, two lines are completed and operational. “We have introduced a state-of-the-art production system to this plant with high-tech machinery from Germany that will be used for mixing and milling. Furthermore, we are also using a fully automated powder feeding system for Carbon Black, so that no dust particles are released into the atmosphere. Huber Engineered Materials plant switches on solar array

Huber Corporation and SolAmerica Energy announced the completion of a 1.8 megawatt (DC), ground-mounted solar array located at the Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) Fire Retardant Additives Marblehead facility in Quincy, Illinois.
